A leading manufacturer of specialty ceramic products is looking for a Ceramic Engineer for their plant near Gadsden, AL. The Ceramic Engineer will lead a small team of Technicians to develop new ceramic glazes, frits and other glass products. He or she will lead testing of all existing products, qualify raw materials and support the Sales and Marketing Group. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on person to learn and grow with this fast growing company and gain valuable management experience. A 4-year degree in Ceramic Engineering or Materials Science from an accredited university is required, along with at least 3 years experience in a ceramic manufacturing, product development or QC environment. Experience with basic ceramic and glass processing, laboratory testing and application knowledge of ceramic coatings, glass frits and similar is strongly preferred. Knowledge and experience with ceramic and glass testing procedures, laboratory instrument calibration, instrument maintenance, QC and ordering lab supplies is also preferred. This is a hands-on position and a significant portion of time will be spent in the Lab performing tests and running trials, and on the shop floor troubleshooting production problems. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
