Sign on bonus after 90 days and another one at six months.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree preferred, a valid Alabama Driver's License and good driving record; strong written and oral communication skills; able to pass all pre-employment screenings; able to work independently and with others; highly responsible & committed to the agency's mission.
Responsibilities include:
-Supervise or assists participants with daily living activities, educational activities and social and leisure activities.
-Maintain the safety, welfare and rights of the participants at all times.
-Ensure the participants are protected from abuse, mistreatment and neglect.
-Provide and ensure that participants confidentiality is protected at all times.
-Accurately chart and record medication dispensation.
-Keep daily progress notes on significant participants activities occurring during assigned hours or as reported by other staff.
-Perform all job duties in accordance with agency policy and Alabama Department of Mental Health standards.
-Appropriately handle disruptive behavior and aggressive behavior in accordance with policies and procedures.
-Maintain and provide care of the facility to keep it in the best condition.
-Transports participants to educational, vocational and religious activities.
-Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the facility and facility grounds.
-Attends all required training, staff meetings and consultations as required.
-Performs other duties as assigned.
