gov) We are currently seeking a licensed and qualified Driver Education Instructor for our Gadsden Job Corps Center located at 600 Valley Street, Gadsden, Alabama 35901.
Overview of
Responsibilities:
Provide classroom and behind-the-wheel Driver Education instruction for Gadsden Job Corps Students, designed to help each student meet the requirements to obtain a driver's license in the State of Alabama.
Provide and implement an instruction plan that provides for classroom instruction consisting of the approved textbook, the Alabama Driver's manual, audio visuals and other educational media in accordance with Alabama General Laws pertaining to Driver Education and Subcontractor curriculum guidelines.
Provide a curriculum of study based on the regulations and administrative procedures promulgated by the Subcontractor Driver Education program and the state of Alabama.
Provide classroom training that includes, but is not limited to, such topics as vehicle systems, driving in traffic, safety regulations and traffic laws.
Document and maintain student's permanent record, including date of entry, date of completion of classroom training and date learner's permit/driver's license was obtained, and provide a monthly status report of all students participating in the program.
We offer (1) licensed position at 32 hours per week.
Services are required for all weeks with the exception of the 2 week, Department of Labor (DOL) approved student Winter break.
The initial term would be March 1, 2024 through November 30, 2025 for the base period with 3 one-year option periods to follow if exercised.
