Histology Technician
Job Description
Full Time / Monday-Friday (5a-1:
30p)
Under the general technical supervision of the pathologist, the Histology Technician is responsible for processing and preparing slides from tissue and fluids, preparing special stains and assisting the pathologist during gross and frozen section procedures.
Education REQUIRED:
HT(ASCP) or MLT(ASCP) with an Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology
Experience REQUIRED:
None required but 3-6 months of training is required prior to working independently in Histology
Licenses/Certificates REQUIRED:
HT(ASCP) or MLT(ASCP)Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
